Gone are those days
When children play hide-n-seek in the night
Or a six on a dice, fill them with delight
When hands join together to play chain-chain
And self proposed rules make the game.
When nothing is more tasty than sand
And the morning fight doesn’t affect the evening plans.
When steppu and corner-corner are what we play
And cardboard being the bat make foil’s ball sway.
When pitthugram is played with full energy
And gallery helps all to play unitedly.
When in red-letter, we crave for the letter in our name
And message-passing needs a cat’s reaction.
Innocence in eyes and pure at heart
Yes, we lived our childhood with no worries apart.
But with the time, childhood changes
And the gadgets replaced the friends.
No sand,no aam-pachans and no kiss-me bars
Just pizzas ,french fries and burgers .
Music in i-pods and games in fun-books
Lost innocence and only suppurate look.
No more aankh-micholi to play
As this would make their clothes’ grey.
Yes, this is what the present scenario is,
Net connections and marooned games
Make the toddlers grow at a very tender age.
those good old days....
