I was so busy in my daily life that I rarely notice whats going all around.I am always on a high run for my works if i have to win any rat race daily.
A Friday, I remember had an impact on my daily ongoing.I was getting late and my cab was about to leave. I hurry up as fast as possible with breakfast in had to catch it but my hard luck.. I missed it by fractions of second as the day was already planned by someone up there.
To catch up the DTC, I moved ahead. That day I recognized how people suppress their hearts, close their eyes and move on where life takes them.
A small child from nowhere came in front of me begging hard on such a chilly January morning. I asked him if he goes to school,.. but don't know why I asked such a question though am already aware of the answer. His head down and I realized my mistake. I took out my wallet and searched for the smallest change . A 10 Rupee note I found and gave it to that boy. As he moved away, a thought strike me and I called him back. He came with a short run thinking to get a bigger penny but my heart called him fro something else.
I asked him his name, his age, his interests. Chottu was his name with an age not known. Chottu might found an interviewer inside me...aah! but that was the only way I found to start a conversation with him. He moved along with me and our conversation paused at a stop. I forget that shopkeeper was not in so hurry to open his shop at 8'o clock in morning. Chottu told me about his family, his way of living but nothing about him. I asked him if he like chocolates but he gave me such a reaction as if I said something in French. I gave him few candies I got in my bag and really, believe me, the spark in his eyes is easily recognizable. This is the thing we could not get daily. The wishes, the wants, the desires that these tiny tots have but don'y know. Who are they to us! We are so much busy in our own business that Who Cares for them!!!
The shop opened by the time and I gave him few Chocolates. His shining eyes, glowing face revealed everything to me. Chottu didn't ask anything but do gave me a name 'Toffee wali didi'..haaah.. that sounds funny...but I love this. The joy was unexpressable and even today when I pass by him, he greet me with a big big smile..
.So I just wanna end this incident with a message that "one must not regret a day before it starts". The day with chasing moves to catch a cab ends with a high five with a hand found among the lost people.....
